Qualities of a SFNM Newspaper Carrier
Newspaper Carriers are independent contractors running their own business. They are responsible for their routes every day of the year, and are expected to find coverage for missed days. Since this is contract work, individuals under age 18 will need written approval from a parent or guardian.
FAQ
How much money can I earn from a route?
SFNM carriers can earn up to $1,200 every two weeks, however income from routes varies depending on the number of newspapers delivered each morning.
Do I collect subscription payments myself?
No. All subscriptions are billed in advance by the Customer Service Department.
When do the papers have to be delivered?
Carriers are expected to pick up their papers from our printing facility at 3:00am, and should be finished delivering no later than 6:00am.
Where do I pick up the papers from?
Our printing facility is located on the southside of Santa Fe, across from the Outlet Mall. The address is 1 New Mexican Plaza, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
How many days a week?
The presses never stop running, and neither do we. Newspapers are delivered 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
What if I need coverage for my route?
Since this is independent contract work, carriers are responsible for finding coverage when they cannot attend to their route.
